All of our Monkey classes always begin with a fun warm up song or game, then each class will have a chance to go to bars, beam, trampoline, vault, and an obstacle course on floor! The events are set up so the kids can keep moving. This is perfect for those little ones that love to move!
We offer classes for gymnasts of ALL levels, 1st grade – High School. Our girls program offers classes of different levels to allow gymnasts to move up levels as their skills improve. The main focus of our program is learning gymnastics in a fun, encouraging environment.
Our boys program focuses on strength, awareness, and gymnastics skill. The boys will enjoy learning the basics of the vault, high bar, parallel bars, floor, trampoline, and rings while getting stronger each week! We currently offer two different levels in our Boys Program.
Our adult classes focus on flexibility, strength, awareness, and gymnastics skills! Whether you did gymnastics as a child, can't do a cartwheel, or have just always wanted to jump on our trampolines, this class has something for everyone! Come get a great workout while challenging yourself and learning something new!
We currently have six girls’ exhibition teams, spanning from preschool through high school! The teams are coach recommendation only. These girls show a real love for the sport and a higher skill level. Our exhibition teams perform at schools, retirement homes, festivals, parades, and other fun events!
We started our Xcel team in 2013 to give our gymnasts the opportunity to compete, but we still focus on athlete development in a loving and caring environment! We currently have gymnasts at the Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond levels.
All of our Monkey Fitness classes are 55 minutes, with the exception of Monkey and Parent, which is a 40 minute class. Monkey classes begin with “circle time” where the little gymnasts dance to a song or play a game to get warmed up, and do some stretching in a fun and creative way! After circle time, we move to other events, which include an obstacle course, beam, bars, trampoline, and vault. The events are set up so the kids can keep moving. On the obstacle course, they will learn cartwheels, forward rolls, backward rolls, and much more. On the beams, we set up fun props for them to walk and jump over. Sometimes they even carry beanbags on their heads and go on the high beam with the coach helping! The bars are always a favorite. This is where they get to learn pullovers, swing like a monkey, swing on the rope, and so much more. A highlight is our thirty-foot long trampoline. All kids learn tight body jumps: a tuck jump, straddle jumps, seat drops, and the kindergarten class will learn the run jump!
Monkey & Parent is for the kids 18 months-3 years to come play in the gym with mom, dad, a grandparent, or other care giver. It is designed to improve and enhance motor skills, while enjoying time together! In this class, they will learn forward and backward rolls, and they will get to climb and jump on all our bright colored mats.
Monkey 3 is specially designed for three year olds that are full of energy! Monkey 3 combines just the right amount of beginning tumbling, balance, and coordination for those little ones who just cannot sit still. They will have fun while learning and getting stronger!
Monkey 4&5 is for the little gymnast, not in kindergarten (ages 4 and 5), that wants to master the cartwheel and more fun gymnastics skills. This class is for both boys and girls. They will learn headstands, forward rolls, backward rolls, and continue building strength. When we move to the bars, you will see your child swing in different shapes; “L” swings, bell swings, turtle swings and monkey swings. Your little one will have fun while learning walks and jumps on beam. We do this in a creative way, over props or carrying a beanbag. We never forget the trampoline…the kids love to learn jumps, seat drops and seat drop table drops!
Kinder Monkey is for boys and girls in kindergarten! These little gymnasts will learn gymnastics basics, but now we will work a little more on the form (feet together and arms straight). Kinder Monkeys always love to jump and move at gymnastics after being in school all day!
Our Ninja Warrior Class is perfect for 4, 5, or 6 year old girls and boys who love to climb, jump, and test their skills on obstacle courses! Each week has a different theme such as strength, balance, or speed. Watch your little ninja grow stronger and more confident in their skills each week!

Jumpers is a beginner class for elementary school aged girls from 1st – 5th grade. As with all of our classes, we begin with a fun warm up, and teach each gymnast proper stretching technique. On the floor, the gymnasts are instructed on how to do cartwheels, handstands, and forward & backward rolls. You will see your child advancing to the high beam, or continuing on the low beam if more comfortable, working different walks, pivot turns, stretch jumps, and scales. The trampoline is the place to learn tuck, straddle, and pike jumps, as well as seat drops, table drops, and forward rolls. They will learn foundational skills, so that they can learn front flips once they advance to the next level!
Enrollment in Super Jumpers is by coach approval only. To be in this class, a gymnast must be able to do a bridge down on the floor, pullover on bars, and have all of the basics of gymnastics mastered. In Super Jumpers, gymnasts will learn bridge down kick overs and round-offs on floor. On bars, they will begin drills for kips and squat ons, and master the back hip circle. On beam, you will see your gymnast learning new skills, including the cartwheel on low beam!
Fronts is the third level of our girls recreational program, and requires coach approval for enrollment. Before entering this class, the gymnast should have already learned the basics on all events, and are moving to bigger tricks: the back handspring, squat on, cartwheels on beam, front flip on trampoline, and front handsprings on vault. With more advanced skills you will see the gymnasts getting stronger!

Before entering this class, the gymnast should have mastered the back handspring, back walkover, squat on, and front flip on trampoline, in addition to other foundational skills. Gymnasts will continue to learn and grow their gymnastics skill in Advanced Fronts.

Come learn gymnastics skills with a parkour twist! Boys must be in middle school (age 11-14) to join, so older boys can feel confident that there will be kids their age in the class. The Gymnastics Connection started as a non-competitive gym. We started offering Xcel in 2013 to give our gymnasts the opportunity to compete, but we still focus on athlete development in a loving and caring environment, and winning is not our main focus. Of course we like our gymnasts to succeed, and we’ve found that this environment helps them thrive in and out of competition.
Our Xcel team practices once a week all together, and two times per week in another class at their own individual level. We have gymnasts at the Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond levels. Coley, Kristin, Taylor, and Kim are the Xcel coaches! If you are interested in being a part of our Xcel team, email xcel@gymnasticsconnection.com to connect with the coaches and receive more information!
